Join the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute as it celebrates its 19th Annual Partners events, a signature fundraiser honoring outstanding philanthropists who support Karmanos’ exceptional cancer care and innovative research. This year’s honorees are Julie and Bob Skandalaris. The Partners Golf Classic will take place Monday, Aug. 27, at Franklin Hills Country Club. The Partners Night, which will be a Tailgate theme, will take place Saturday, Oct. 6, at Somerset Collection, South.  

Over the past 18 years, Partners, a group of hands-on volunteers, have raised nearly $13 million through the Partners events to support the Karmanos Cancer Institute’s exceptional state-of-the science research. This year’s Partners events will help support the additional recruitment of highly accomplished cancer scientists, complementing the exceptional cancer research already underway at Karmanos.

The Partners Golf Classic will include a competitive golf scramble, lunch, refreshments and an awards dinner. The Partners Night will have a Tailgate theme and guests can show their team spirit by sporting their favorite team or game-day apparel. There will be a strolling dinner of favorite game-day foods, a brief program, an exciting auction and raffle, topped with live entertainment and dancing.
