Compuware and Quicken Loans are joining forces to promote prostate cancer awareness!  Movember – the month formerly known as November – is a moustache-growing initiative that raises funds and awareness about prostate health and promotes prostate cancer awareness and early detection. Compuware and Quicken Loans kicked off their Movember initiative with a clean shave November 1.  

The weeks ahead will include an educational lecture hosted by Denise Henderson, M.Ed., BSN, RN-BC, educator in the Patient and Community Education Department at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, who will lead a discussion about the importance of knowing  risk factors and warning signs for prostate cancer. The lecture will end with a question-and-answer session featuring Elisabeth Heath, MD, member of the Genitourinary Oncology Multidisciplinary Team at Karmanos.  The Compuware and Quicken Loans Movember movement will continue with fun moustache-themed fundraisers throughout the week including a photo booth and sales of fake moustache cards.
