Representatives of Buddy’s Pizza recently contributed $3,000 to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, from proceeds generated in October in observance of breast cancer awareness month. 

The special pizza, named the Leon & Lulu pizza, included brick cheese, shredded carrots, sautéed spinach and fresh broccoli on multi-grain crust, topped with tomato-basil sauce, asiago and parmesan cheeses and a hint of Italian spices. One dollar from every Leon & Lulu pizza sold was given to Karmanos to support breast cancer research. The Leon & Lulu pizza was named after another of Karmanos’ supporters – Leon & Lulu, a home furnishings and gift shop in Clawson.
