Wednesday, February 06, 2013
During the month of October, employees at Sam’s Clubs in Michigan were proud to wear pink. The group raised an incredible $6,365 for breast cancer research.
The funds were raised from pink t-shirt sales during September and October. The fundraiser was started by Stephen Detkowski, Suzanne Preville, Kristin Ren and Tracy Clark at the Madison Heights Sam’s Club location. Stephen is dedicated to the fight against cancer and has put together fundraisers for Karmanos in the past when he was a student at Warren Mott High School. To date, he has helped raise more than $22,000 for the Institute.
Maureen Bender, director of Corporate Relations and Events and Paulina Pedrak, Third Party Events coordinator at Karmanos, accepted the check from Sam’s Club employees
We thank Sam’s Club employees for their support!
