Michigan races:
With thanks to all who supported our work to end breast cancer forever, the 18th
annual Komen Detroit Race for the Cure®, locally presented by Karmanos Cancer Institute,
was a great success! 2009 results will be posted soon.
2008 results: With the help of our generous community, we raised $2.3 million! Watch how we put
it to work with the local grants we funded. We also
donated $376,648 to Komen for the Cure's research grant program, and contributed
$300,000 to co-fund, along with Komen headquarters, a Career Catalyst grant to
Dr. Julie Boerner, a young breast cancer researcher at Wayne State University
/ Karmanos Cancer Institute.
