Quit Tobacco Workshops

The Community and Supportive Services department offers a Quit Tobacco Workshop every month. The workshop is held on the first Tuesday of every month, from 5pm – 7pm. The program is held at our main campus in the Wertz Classroom, located at 4100 John R in Detroit.

The workshop is designed to prepare you to make a successful quit attempt in the near future. It is not expected that you will walk out ready to quit that day! Rather, you will gain the tools, motivation, and confidence you need to truly understand your tobacco use and get rid of the habit for good. Topics covered include understanding addiction, developing a quit plan, preventing relapse, overview of quit tobacco medications, and much more.

The workshop is free and open to the public. Anyone who is interested in learning how to make a successful quit attempt is welcome to attend. You only need to attend one time; however people are welcome to attend more than once. Registration is required.

For more information or to register, please call 313-576-8129 or email communityed@karmanos.org.
