U CAN-CER VIVE Foundation Visits Karmanos to Deliver Teddy Bears to Patients

The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute is grateful to the U CAN-CER VIVE Foundation for their generous donation of teddy bears for patients. The foundation routinely donates bears to hospitals in Southeast Michigan as part of their UR My Valentine event. This is the fourth year that Karmanos patients have received such thoughtful gifts.

“Everyone deserves to feel loved. We’re delighted to be able to bring such warming gifts on Valentine’s Day to those who are here receiving treatment,” said Kelley LaFontaine, founder of the U CAN-CER VIVE Foundation.

Karmanos and U CAN-CER VIVE share a common interest in fighting cancer. U CAN-CER VIVE provides funds for cancer research and finding better ways to treat cancer. They also do kind acts, like giving patients teddy bears, to make cancer patients feel good.

“Our mission at U CAN-CER VIVE is to help provide a cancer-free world, which perfectly aligns with Karmanos,” LaFontaine explained. “It’s an honor to build a beautiful partnership with Karmanos in fighting cancer together.”

Karmanos would like to thank U CAN-CER VIVE for their continued support and commitment to putting smiles on patients’ faces.
