Monday, May 06, 2013
Robert Morris, M.D., leader of the Gynecologic Oncology Multidisciplinary Team at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Center and professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine (WSU SOM), has received a grant renewal of his fellowship training program at Karmanos and WSU SOM.
The Division of Gynecologic Oncology of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Dallas has provided the grant renewal for one fellow per year for four years. Dr. Morris’ fellowship training is an accredited educational program that teaches fellows advanced surgical skills as well as cutting-edge medical and chemotherapy treatments for gynecologic malignancies.
Dr. Morris, who serves as director of the fellowship program, has conducted training since 2006. The program is one of just 46 approved programs in the United States. Candidates from across the country apply for participation in the training.
We congratulate Dr. Morris on the renewal of his fellowship training program!
