Cancer Patients Come Watch the Detroit Red Wings Warm Up Saturday, October 26, 2013

The Detroit Red Wings are inviting up to 50 cancer patients and survivors, plus one guest, Saturday, October 26, 2013 to watch their morning skate practice at 10:15 a.m. as the team prepares for their game against the New York Rangers. The team is hosting Hockey Fights Cancer Night at the game that evening. In addition, the Detroit Red Wings are pleased to offer a limited edition fiber reactive fleece blanket featuring a large pink and white Winged Wheel logo. The blanket is all black with the large pink and white Winged Wheel logo centered on the blanket. There are a limited number of blankets available, with orders being taken first come first serve.
All proceeds will benefit Karmanos Cancer Institute (Weisberg Cancer Treatment Center in Farmington Hills) and St. John Providence Health System (Liggett Breast Center in Grosse Pointe). The funds raised will help alleviate the costs of breast cancer screening and treatment for uninsured and underinsured women in the Metro Detroit area. To purchase a blanket, click here.
