Fraza Forklifts raises $10,000 to benefit breast cancer research at Karmanos Cancer Institute

Fraza Forklifts has wrapped up their eight-month long “Raising for the Cure” promotion. The promotion was held from Valentine’s Day all the way through Halloween. Customers were able to rent two pink trucks, a Clark electric and a CAT IC, with 100 percent of the net profits supporting breast cancer research at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.
Nick Karmanos, senior vice president, Institutional Relations and Katy Kaliszewski, Third Party Events coordinator, both of Karmanos, were presented with a $10,000 check from Tim and Greg Blackwood, owners of Fraza Forklifts.
“Karmanos could not conduct its critical research without the support of our community and great partners like Fraza Forklifts,” said Nick Karmanos. “We are truly grateful for their generous support, and these funds will be instrumental in helping find a cure to one day eradicate this disease.”
Fraza Forklifts was so thrilled by the wonderful outpour of community support with this year’s “Raising for the Cure” promotion that they have decided to continue fundraising with a new promotion. From now until Dec. 31, they are offering CAT Hand Pallet Jacks for 25 percent off, with $25 from every CAT Hand Pallet Jacks purchased being donated to support breast cancer research at Karmanos.
Fraza Forklifts, in business since 1936, has five locations throughout eastern Michigan that sell, service and rent new and used forklifts and other industrial equipment, including sweepers and scrubbers. Fraza also provides operator training, parts and related industrial products and supplies.
Karmanos is thankful for the effort and dedication Fraza Forklift employees, customers and supporters have put into making these promotions so successful!
