Buddy’s Pizza’s annual October promotion was successful once again in bringing breast cancer prevention awareness to their patrons and raising funds to support breast cancer research at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.
This is Buddy’s fourth year hosting their October promotion and they raised an amazing $3,000, which brings their grand total donation to more than $9,000! Funds were raised from a percentage of proceeds from Buddy’s signature pizza, the Leon and Lulu pizza, from staff members purchasing specialty shirts, and from staff jean days.
Buddy's Pizza was established in 1946 and has been in the business of giving ever since.
"At Buddy's, we feel we have a social responsibility as a corporation to be a good community member, but our giving goes beyond a call of duty," said Buddy's owner Robert Jacobs. "The work we do to contribute and give back to the community is a rewarding experience, and our involvement helps create a good working environment for our employees and customers."
Karmanos is truly appreciative of all that Buddy’s Pizza has done for the Institute to help us bring about advancements in the fight against breast cancer!
