‘TEAM MEET’ IS THE PLACE TO BE!!

Once again this year we will have “Team MEET,” sponsored by Handelman Company. Team MEET is for PEOPLE TRAFFIC ONLY, NOT VEHICLES. Our new location is closer to the Race staging area. Team MEET will be open from 6:30 to 8:00 a.m. in the parking lot at 111 Madison. This Olympia Entertainment parking lot is bordered by Witherell, Adams, Madison and John R. It is directly across from the southwest corner of Comerica Park-- a very short walk to the Walkers Start. Click here for Team MEET and parking maps.

‘TEAM MEET’ is for pedestrians only –- no cars, bicycles, scooters, rollerblades, skates, skateboards – or pets. Regular and motorized wheelchairs, as well as service animals are most welcome. And please, no tents or canopies.

Use your team sign as a marker for teammates to look for in the lot. Or hoist your team banner for all to see. Or – well, be creative!

When leaving the ‘TEAM MEET’ lot, be sure to take everything with you, as the lot will be closed once everyone has left for the Opening Ceremonies. Be sure to stop at STUFF CHECK, sponsored by UPS, and leave anything you don’t want to carry with you along the race route. Our happy, dedicated volunteers will hold your things in their safe keeping until after the Race!
