Jeffrey Taub’s primary research focus, funded by the National Cancer Institute and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, is the mechanism of chemotherapy sensitivity in Down’s syndrome children with acute myeloid leukemia, drug resistance in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia and acute myeloid leukemia, and the molecular epidemiology of childhood leukemia. Taub belongs to many professional organizations including the American Academy of Hematology, the American Association for Cancer Research and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He has won numerous awards including Scholar in Clinical Research (2002-2007) by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the 1994 Young Investigator Award by the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Taub has authored or co-authored over 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a reviewer for numerous journals including Blood and the Journal of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Taub earned his M.D. (1987) at The University of Western Ontario (London, Ontario, Canada), took his Transitional Internship (1988) at Victoria Hospital (London, Ontario), his Pediatric Residency (1991) and his Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (1994) at Children’s Hospital (Detroit, Michigan).
