Dr. Aron Liaw joined the Department of Urology in 2020, focusing on sexual medicine, prosthetic urology, voiding dysfunction, pediatric, and reconstructive urology. He also serves as a dedicated clinician educator and residency advocate. He leads grand rounds education, manages the resident wellness committee and has strengthened the residency selection process through holistic review and outreach initiatives.
Dr. Liaw is committed to mentoring medical students and residents, helping many secure placements in top urology programs across the nation. He also lectures for the Wayne State University Physician Assistant program and serves as a preceptor for elective rotations.
Nationally, Dr. Liaw is an active member of the American Urological Association, the Society of Academic Urology and the Sexual Medicine Society of North America, where he has served as a presenter, moderator and panelist. His research interests include residency education, sexual medicine, prosthetic urology, voiding dysfunction, pediatric urology, and reconstructive urology.
