Karmanos Leader Selected as a Crain’s Notable Leader in Philanthropy List

Arnold D’Ambrosio, chief development officer at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, has been named to Crain’s Detroit’s 2025 Notable Leaders in Philanthropy.

D’Ambrosio joined Karmanos in 2023 and leads fundraising strategy and execution. He has been instrumental in securing support for the organization's continued success by fostering strong relationships with corporate and community leaders, charitable foundations, board members, and volunteers. Since joining Karmanos, D’Ambrosio has successfully facilitated the introduction of Karmanos’ new president and CEO to key community leaders, organized events that attracted influential metro Detroit professionals, and personally met with leaders to advance the mission. He implemented a strategic charitable estate planning marketing strategy, developed impactful planned giving publications and a dedicated website to encourage contributions. His efforts have continually strengthened community engagement and support of Karmanos.
