Ryan Gennette, NP-C, has been in the health care field since 1999; first as a medical assistant, later as a registered nurse starting in 2013, and now as a nurse practitioner beginning in 2018. Throughout his career, he has worked in primary care, orthopedic surgery, bariatric surgery, hospice and hematology/oncology. He has a passion for teaching and has been precepting student nurses and student nurse practitioners during their capstone clinical practicums or internships. He also serves as chief medical advisor for The You've Got This Project, which is a nonprofit organization in the Lansing, Michigan area dedicated to supporting individuals affected by cancer by providing Treatment Starter Kits to patients undergoing chemotherapy. The kits have trial-size, over-the-counter products to help ease symptoms associated with cancer treatments.
