For the third consecutive year, Niko’s Olympic Coney Island in Brownstown Township has raised awareness and funds for breast cancer research at the Karmanos Cancer Institute. This year, Niko’s staff wore pink shirts in October and received donations for Karmanos from diners. By the end of the month, guests had contributed a total of $500, which was matched by Niko’s for a $1,000 donation.
Since 2015, Niko’s Olympic Coney Island has raised almost $1,500 for breast cancer research at Karmanos.
Nick Skotanis, manager of Niko’s, and Andrew Linko, Charter Township of Brownstown supervisor, presented the check to Karmanos on Nov. 17.
We thank Niko’s Olympic Coney Island and their guests for making such a generous contribution to Karmanos for breast cancer research.
