McLaren Greater Lansing in the Community

McLaren Greater Lansing is a nonprofit hospital with deep community roots. We engage with a number of organizations to help further our efforts to provide exceptional health care services and improve the overall health and wellness of the community we serve.

Community Relations Policy

McLaren Greater Lansing gives careful consideration to requests for financial and in-kind support as they relate to our goals. Requests that fit within the hospital's mission, values and our community relations objectives, and those brought for consideration from a member of the McLaren Family (caregivers, support staff, volunteers, etc.), will be given priority consideration.

To be considered, a request for support must meet the following criteria:

  • The event/organization must directly benefit the hospital's service area of Ingham, Clinton and Eaton counties.
  • The event/organization must be relevant to the perceived needs of the community.
  • The event/organization should relate to one of the strategic health priorities identified by the community: Obesity, Safety and Social Connection, Child Health, Access to Healthcare, and Connection to Resources.
  • The requesting organization should have 501(c)(3) not-for-profit status or be a governmental agency or public institution.
  • The goals of the event/organization should not duplicate efforts of other community organizations that the hospital supports.
  • The hospital will not support any candidate, political organization or effort.
