Community Partnerships with Karmanos Foundation

In April of 2007, six bracelets, a fundraiser and the desire and need to relieve some of the financial burden of our dear friend, Sharon Winter, diagnosed with Breast Cancer has remained our desire and need more than 8 years later.

Angel of Grace provides an affordable bracelet that is made unique to represent a specific cause, by its ribbon color and special bead.   Woman around the world wear “Sharon’s” bracelet every day, creating a bond that honors a loved one or cause.  The beauty and its significance allow it to be treasured by all.

The first Taking Our Lives Back Calendar was created in 2014. The mission for the Taking Our Lives Back calendar is to allow women to share their journey with cancer in hope of encouraging other women to fight this disease and not to give up. In spite of the surgeries, the treatments and hair loss, during the photo shoot the women feel beautiful and empowered. They encourage one another and join forces to spread awareness.

Proceeds from calendar sales benefit the Jesse Bernard Patient Assistance Fund, which helps to assist patients and their families in meeting financial obligations with limited, temporary assistance for such needs as rent/mortgage, utility bills, medications, transportation, food/meals and other needs.
