In the 2025 Health Guide, Hadeel Assad, M.D., medical oncologist, co-leader of the Breast Cancer Multidisciplinary Team, member of the Phase I Clinical Trials MDT, and associate professor in the Department of Oncology at Wayne State University, explained a 2014 study she led with colleagues that examined breast cancer patients and their sexual well-being. Results from the study showed that sexual dysfunction is prevalent among these patients. Dr. Assad shared some recommendations for physicians about having these conversations with patients.
