Nitin Vaishampayan, M.D., radiation oncologist, leader of the Genitourinary Oncology Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), and member of the Breast Cancer, Gastrointestinal and Neuroendocrine Oncology, Hematology Oncology MDTs at Karmanos, shared that most people do not display lower back pain as the first symptom of cancer. Still, there are some cancers where lower back pain can be a symptom.
