Steven Lucas, M.D., urologic oncologist and member of the Genitourinary Oncology Multidisciplinary Team at Karmanos, discussed some differences between prostatitis and prostate cancer. He said the only known risk factor for both is age – one occurs more in younger men, while the other is more common in slightly older men.
