Colorectal cancer is a disease that can be found early with an understanding of the cancer, knowing your family history of cancer, understanding the symptoms, and screening. Eliza Wright Beal, M.D., MS, surgical oncologist and member of the Gastrointestinal and Neuroendocrine Oncology Multidisciplinary Team at Karmanos, joined Sunday Edition to discuss why this particular region where cancer can develop is called colorectal, why some people may need to start screening for colorectal cancer before they reach 45 years old and much more.
