Bladder cancer can have similar symptoms to urinary tract infections (UTIs) in the early stages. Still, risk factors for both differ, according to Michael Cher, M.D., urologic oncologist and member of the Genitourinary Oncology Multidisciplinary Team at Karmanos. Dr. Cher also shared the most significant bladder cancer symptom that should prompt any patient to request an appointment with a urologist.
