Join the McLaren Thumb Region Auxiliary Volunteers
For more than 100 years, the McLaren Thumb Region Auxiliary Members have helped the hospital meet its needs and provide health education in the community.
Auxiliary members serve as hospital ambassadors in the community. They work closely with the hospital to determine how it can best support the hospital’s needs and community outreach efforts.
Auxiliary members are involved in numerous fundraising activities including:
- Well-Wisher Gift Shop
- Book Sales
- Fashion Shows
- Bake Sales
- Uniform Sales
- Bridge Tournament
- Nursing Scholarship
- Cheese Ball Sales
The Auxiliary manages & staffs the Well-Wisher Gift Shop, which is located in the hospital on the first floor off the main lobby. Revenues generated support hospital programs, equipment, renovations, and services. Open Mon. - Fri. 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, the shop offers an array of gifts, candles, newborn gift items, seasonal items, and snacks.
Auxiliary members can be as active as they choose. Auxiliary members serve on committees and volunteer on a schedule that accommodates their busy lives. Auxiliary members pay $10.00 annual dues, which support a variety of exciting activities, innovative projects, and creative programs at McLaren Thumb Region.
