Becker's Hospital Review
George Yoo, M.D., FACS, chief medical officer (CMO) at Karmanos Cancer Hospital, was again listed on Becker’s Hospital Review’s Chief Medical Officers to Know. The 2025 list includes over 180 CMOs nationwide who “play a pivotal role in advancing patient safety, maintaining high-quality standards, bridging the gap between leadership and medical staff, and managing risk.” The CMOs named are leaders who are continually driven for improvement, leading to multiple quality and safety accolades for their organizations.
In addition to being the CMO at Karmanos, Dr. Yoo is an ear, nose and throat specialist (otolaryngologist), surgical oncologist, a member of the Head and Neck Oncology and Melanoma Multidisciplinary Teams, and a member of the Molecular Therapeutics Research Program at Karmanos.
