In an interview with Michigan Oncology Quality Consortium's Ovarian Cancer Education Podcast, Radhika Gogoi, M.D., member of the Gynecologic Multidisciplinary Team at Karmanos, discusses a new diagnosis and the basics of ovarian cancer.
"We recommend that all women who are diagnosed with ovarian cancer go through genetic testing to determine whether they carry a gene that puts them at higher risk for ovary and breast cancer. If they are positive, their family members or relatives should also seek genetic counseling."
