WWJ | Screening Saves Lives Event Gives Participants Opportunity to Talk to Genetic Counselor

Karmanos is hosting its Screening Saves Lives: Cancer Screening and Educational Event at the Weisberg Cancer Center in Farmington Hills. Participants may receive breast cancer screenings, including mammograms, colorectal screening consultations, free head and neck examinations, and wellness checks. They can also speak to a genetic counselor about their potential risk for cancer. Courtney Kokenakes, MS, LCGC, licensed genetic counselor at the Karmanos Cancer Genetics Counseling Service, explained who should consider getting genetic counseling.
