WWJ | Genetic Counselor Available to Speak with at Screening Saves Lives Event on June 8

Karmanos makes seeing a genetic counselor convenient for everyone. You don’t have to be a cancer patient to utilize the Karmanos Cancer Genetics Counseling Service. Courtney Kokenakes, MS, LCGC, licensed genetic counselor, explained how appointments with genetic counselors are fashioned. She’ll be available to chat with you at the Screening Saves Lives: Cancer Screening and Educational Event at the Weisberg Cancer Center in Farmington Hills on Saturday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Screening Saves Lives will provide breast cancer screenings, including mammograms, colorectal screening consultations, free head and neck examinations, and wellness checks. The event also features free activities like yoga, meditation classes, healing arts activities, and more.
