Community Conversations on Cancer
Community Conversations in Cancer aims to connect the community to Karmanos Cancer Institute scientists. Researchers and physician scientists share information about the latest updates in cancer care and cutting-edge research discoveries taking place at Karmanos. It is meant to bring scientists together with the community to engage in bi-directional dialogue to ask and answer questions.

Join us for an upcoming Community Conversation on Cancer - Black Men, Medical Mistrust, and Cancer: How can Cancer Care be more Trustworthy?
For decades, medical mistrust has been viewed as a problem among Black men that keeps them from cancer screening and care. Often, proposed solutions focus on changing men’s attitudes. This special Community Conversation on Cancer flips the focus and explores the question, “How can we change cancer care systems and make them more trustworthy?” Please join us for a morning of dynamic presentations and dialogue, hosted by the Black Men’s Cancer Action Council of Karmanos Cancer Institute at Wayne State University.
