at Karmanos Cancer Institute

Integrative therapies are used in combination with cancer treatment to treat the whole patient, mind, body and soul. These therapies place an emphasis on decreasing stress and anxiety, while improving one’s general sense of well-being. At the Karmanos Cancer Institute, we offer a variety of integrative therapies including:

  • Art therapy
  • Healing touch
  • Massage therapy
  • Pet therapy
  • Reiki
  • Yoga

In addition to therapies, Karmanos offers a variety of services to provide the extra care and support patients and their families need to have a successful journey through cancer.

  • Complimentary hats and lap blankets (as available)
  • Cancer specific resource guides
  • Financial and transportation resource guides
  • Uplifting verses, poems and articles
  • Resources for wig and mastectomy supplies
